Irish Mash®
Feed Supplement for Horses

This versatile recipe stimulates metabolism and digestion. It is easy to prepare and is recommended during rest days, shedding periods, and after overwork or stress, all of which should be included in a feeding plan.

Benefits:
Stimulates metabolism and digestion.
Has an intestinal cleansing effect, stimulates digestion, and is designed for special nutritional purposes.
Easy and quick to prepare, even using cold water.
Traditional feed with a modern twist.
For centuries, mash has been used after hard work, during recovery periods, and for the prevention of colic. Thanks to its broad composition and easy tolerance by horses, Irish Mash® can be given as a first meal after colic, after surgery, during recovery, or in cases of loss of appetite or chewing problems.
It was developed based on the traditional recipe of wheat bran and flax seeds, incorporating the latest scientific knowledge in nutrition.
The specially processed yellow flax seeds allow for quick preparation without the need for boiling. Its low starch content and the inclusion of processed grains, coriander, and brewer's yeast enhance its digestibility and nutritional benefits.
With its gut health-supporting properties, it also helps picky horses improve feed utilization and weight gain. It also supports recovery after competitions, insemination, and foaling, and is ideal during the moulting phase.

Recommendation:
For horses sensitive to grains, we recommend using Grain-Free Glyx-Mash®.

Directions:
Give approximately 70–200 grams per 100 kg of body weight, mixed with 1.5 to twice the amount of warm/hot water. Allow to infuse for 15 minutes before serving.
It can also be prepared with cold water, but the infusion time is increased to approximately 30 minutes.
It is usually served 3–4 times per week, but a smaller amount can be served daily if needed.

Additional Information:
1 liter of product is approximately 500 grams.

Advice

For older horses, those that are fast eaters, or those with dental, chewing, or swallowing problems, it is best to moisten muesli with water.
Or replace it with pellets, soaked well in water, and served as a mash.
Always ensure horses have sufficient access to clean drinking water.
