product description

Equilac® Muesli
A feed specifically designed for mares during pregnancy and lactation.
It has an ideal balance of protein and energy and is rich in essential amino acids.
Contains grasses, seaweed, oils, and oilseeds.
Provides an ideal ratio of trace elements.
Nutrition for Fertility
Three months before the planned mating date, the ration should contain a high percentage of vital elements but moderate energy.
It is recommended to add St. Hippolyt® Beta-Carotin Mare-Y-Mix, trace elements (MicroVital®), and nucleotides (High Performer) to improve fertility and increase the chances of conception.
After successful insemination, it is necessary to continue feeding a diet rich in micronutrients but with balanced energy.
From the beginning of the last trimester of pregnancy, it is preferable to switch to Equilac® feed for mares during pregnancy and lactation.
Equilac® was developed based on extensive experience in thoroughbred breeding and is suitable for all breeds. Contains high-quality proteins.
It combines an ideal balance of protein and energy with all the essential vitamins and minerals, including trace elements, that the fetus needs for healthy growth.

It also contains brewer's yeast, vegetable germ, and various marine ingredients, as well as other vital sources of nutrients.

Directions for Use
As a nutritional supplement to the daily basal feed (roughage, hay, and/or pasture grass). Starting in the eighth month of pregnancy, it is recommended to gradually replace the usual feed intake with Equilac® (Equilac Muesli).

9–11 months of pregnancy: Approximately 400–500 g per 100 kg body weight per day.

1–3 months of lactation: Approximately 500 g per 100 kg body weight per day, as milk production typically peaks in the second month of lactation.

The total amount should be distributed over several feedings throughout the day.

For easy-fattening horses: Reduce the ration by approximately 10–15%, adding approximately 5 grams per 100 kg of body weight per day of a vegetable-herb-mineral supplement.

For difficult-fattening horses: It is recommended to add RiceLein or C‘Real Basics®.

From the fifth month of lactation: It is recommended to gradually reduce Equilac®. Once the foal is weaned, the mare should be stopped from feeding the brood feed (Zeutstötenfötter).

1 liter = 600 grams

Feeding Note

Because it contains higher amounts of vitamins and trace elements than complete feeds, this supplement should be fed to horses at a maximum of 33.3% of the daily ration (including hay).

Please adhere to the feeding recommendations.

Advice

For older horses, fast eaters, or horses with dental, chewing, or swallowing problems: It is recommended to mix the muesli with water.

Or replace muesli with compressed feed (pellets) that are well soaked in water and served as a semi-liquid mash.

Always pay attention to your horse's fluid intake.
