RiceLein RiceLein
Grain-Free Equine Supplement and Energy Balancer
RiceLein is a low-glycemic index energy balancer used to enrich energy-poor rations.
Instead of starch, it provides easily fermentable fibers with rice bran for fast-absorbing energy.
Thanks to the stomach-protective properties of flaxseed, it is particularly suitable for horses with sensitive digestive systems.
Due to its low starch and sugar content, it is ideal for horses with muscular problems such as PSSM, MIM, Tying Up, Kreuzverschlag, or for horses with PPID (formerly known as Equine Cushing's Syndrome).
Since RiceLein is not additionally fortified with minerals, it can be used as a supplement to any basic feed.
Advantages:
Gluten-free, low in starch and sugar, with a high energy density.
Suitable for progressive feeding of deconditioned horses and sport horses with high energy requirements.
Ideal for horses suffering from muscular problems, digestive disorders, gastric allergies, or grain intolerance.
Energy source for special conditions
There are situations that require a low-starch and low-sugar feed, such as:
Grain allergies and digestive and stomach problems.
Metabolic and muscle disorders resulting from diets high in starch.
Genetic diseases such as PSSM or MIM (also known as PSSM2), which cause muscle cramps, stiffness, sweating, impaired movement, and sometimes loss of mobility.
For this reason, treatment of these conditions is primarily based on a low-starch and low-sugar diet.
Riceline, thanks to its composition of fermentable fiber, oilseeds, and cereal germ, is the ideal choice for providing safe and metabolically appropriate energy.
For rebuilding weak horses
Healthy horses undergoing periods of intensive training can benefit from Riceline as a safe additional energy source that does not overtax their metabolism.
Emaciated or undernourished horses regain weight and strength when Riceline is added to their daily ration. It is also suitable for older, thin-set horses, especially those with metabolic disorders such as PPID, who require an additional low-starch energy source.

Use
As an addition to the basic feed of roughage (such as hay) and/or pasture grass. It is recommended to feed approximately 200–300 grams per 100 kg of horse weight per day.

Tip

For older horses, horses that eat quickly, or those with dental, chewing, or swallowing problems, it is recommended to mix the muesli with water.
Or switch from muesli to compressed feed (pellets) that are thoroughly soaked in water and fed as a semi-liquid mixture (mash).

Please pay attention to the horse's fluid intake.

Composition:
Rice bran, air-dried chopped herbs, corn germ, oil paste blend (flaxseed, sunflower seed), dried beet pulp, heat-treated soy flakes
* *Local contract-farmed soy (GMO-free)
